However, I still stuck to my computer on the tv method. Fast forward to two years further and here we are today, apple releases the apple tv 2. A low price solution, to watch netflix and youtube and some other simple "paid" services without having a computer or needing some kind of videogame system. I personally didn't think that an apple tv 2 was worth the money, but then I found out you could jailbreak the apple tv 2 (meaning unlock the product) which means you can add your own software to the apple tv. This my friends, has started a new frontier. Unlocking the apple tv 2, basically turns the little device into a mini super computer. All of a sudden, the world of movies and tv shows and rich media are at your fingertips. It took me about 5 days to figure out how to jailbreak and add addons correctly, without device failure or voiding of apple warranty, but with time an effort I developed the skill and realized what a magical piece of equipment I had stumbled upon. I have done away with having a computer on the tv and instead have two apple tv 2s in my house.
